Welcome to SalaryDhan. Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy outlines how your personal information is collected, used, and safeguarded when you use our mobile application.

1. Data Collection and Local Storage

We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal or financial data on external servers.

SalaryDhan operates entirely offline. All data you input—including your gross salary, deductions, spending categories, profile photo, and job title—is saved exclusively on your device using encrypted Android Local Storage and SharedPreferences. Only you have access to this information.

2. Use of Device Permissions

Biometric Authentication: If enabled, the app uses your device's native fingerprint or face scanner to lock your financial records. We do not have access to, nor do we store, your biometric data. It is securely managed by the Android Operating System.
Notifications: The app requires permission to send local notifications to remind you of your Payday/Salary Credit Day. These alerts are scheduled locally and do not interact with the cloud.
Storage Access: When exporting backups or downloading CSV reports, the app saves files directly to your device's local Downloads folder.

3. Third-Party Services (Google AdMob)

To keep SalaryDhan free, we use Google AdMob as an advertising provider. AdMob may collect certain non-personally identifiable information, such as your Advertising ID, device type, and app usage data to serve relevant advertisements.

4. Data Deletion

Because your data is exclusively on your device, you have full control over it. You can permanently erase all financial records, profile information, and preferences at any time by using the "Clear All Data" button in the Settings menu or by uninstalling the application.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any changes will be published on this page with an updated "Effective Date." We strongly encourage you to review this policy whenever updates are released.
